Pacienții spanioli care au fost infectați cu noul coronavirus și au ieșit din terapie intensivă sunt duși pe plajă. În total, Spania a înregistrat 239.932 de infecții cu COVID-19 și 27.127 de decese. Guvernul a început să relaxeze treptat una dintre cele mai restrictive carantine din Europa.

În ultimele săptămâni, țara a reușit să țină sub control pandemia. Marți a fost a doua zi consecutivă în care Spania nu a raportat un singur deces din cauza COVID-19 în interval de 24 de ore.

Premierul Pedro Sanchez a cerut miercuri Parlamentului să prelungească starea de urgență până la 21 iunie.

„Am depășit cea mai grea perioadă a pandemiei”, a spus Sanchez.

Partidele de opoziție au criticat însă răspunsul guvernului la pandemia de coronavirus și prelungirile repetate ale stării de urgență.
